"Sound-Rage" describes the neuro-biology of the disorder misophonia. Now verified by fMRI studies done in 2017, misophonia is similar in some ways to obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is a neurological disorder identified by anger responses to certain sounds, such as chewing, gum cracking, sniffing, and eating.
The book describes the neurology and psychology of the disorder and provides therapeutic techniques for dealing with the symptoms. The book has sold thousands of copies worldwide, indicating that the disorder is more prevalent than previously thought.
Since the publication of the book in 2013 I have developed a clientele of people in transition who are neuro-atypical; that is, they have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), attention deficit disorder (ODD), social and generalized anxiety, and/or misophonia.
